In 2002, after working many years in Oncology as a Registered Nurse Carolyn was introduced to the specialty of Pain Management. While working with this unique population, she was enlightened by the magnitude of benefit that Pain Management offered this patient population. Pain management became an integral part in the plan of care as patients bravely fought their cancer diagnosis. Pain management gave patients the ability to maintain their quality of life and complete treatment programs all while assisting them in reaching their life goals. Becoming passionate in this field of practice, Carolyn furthered her education and became a Nurse Practitioner in Pain Management. She is able to assist patients in identifying the cause of their pain diagnosis, educate them on treatment options and guide them in setting their own goals to reduce pain and maintain their quality of life.

Carolyn’s education started locally at Delta College State University where she obtained her Associate’s degree in Nursing. Shortly after, she received her Bachelor’s degree from Saginaw Valley State University. She earned her Master’s Degree at University of Michigan and became Board certified in Family Practice.

Over the last 20 years she has also held multiple certifications that include Family Practice, Pain Management, Women’s Health, Breast Health, Oncology Navigatio, and recently certified as a Fracture Risk Liaison. It is with this new certification that she works on identifying, educating and treating osteoporosis with the goal of preventing fragility fractures within our community.

Carolyn enjoys spending time with her family and tending to the many animals that her family has collected at their small hobby farm.
